How Much Does Your Family Spend On Food And Household Supplies?
I am wondering how much other families spend on food and household supplies, where they shop, and how big there family is?
I have a family of 5 its Me, My hubby, 2 Sons who are 9 and 6, and my little girl who is 20 months old. I shop at Bj’s wholesale club, Bi lo, and Dollar General for food. I shop at Bj’s and Dollar General for household supplies.I spend 500 a month on food and 140 a month on household supplies.
I spend about 650 for both food and household supplies for a family with 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Some months I do spend more – for instance, that budget does not include special holiday treats like baby back ribs that we are having tomorrow. I eliminated a lot of ‘conveniences’ in both food and household supplies as they just keep sucking on the budget. I shop at Cub and Target for most things.
I have a family of six and we usually spend 300-400 a month on groceries. I do all of my shopping at wal-mart. I shop there because you can get everthing you need in one place. You can use coupons and they match competitors sales adds. The one thing that I have found is that you have to watch prices of things; just because it says great value doesn’t mean that it is the cheapest.
Usually, $120 a week with our family of 4 for food. About $100 a month on cleaning supplies. I shop at Aldi, Mark’s, Giant Eagle, and Target for food. Target or Wal Mart for cleaning supplies.
On average with our family of 4 we spend 100-150 a week on groceries, and 100 or so a month on cleaning supplies. We shop at HEB and Krogers for groceries, and Dollar General for cleaning supplies..
