Make Money Online Without Spending a Lot of Money!

by Debbie Grant

Can you really make money online without spending huge sums of money, or even any money? Yes, it can be done. You can start an online affiliate marketing business when you’re low on funds or you just don’t want to take too much risk starting out.

Given the tough economic conditions, many people must find ways to make some extra money or replace lost wages altogether. Folks are losing jobs and hoping that the internet can provide a way for them to quickly generate some income.

Problem is, most business opportunities take a lot of money to get off the ground and those that don’t take a lot of physical effort and time to get up and running, which is very hard to do when working full time and taking care of your family.

The good news about Affiliate Marketing is that you can do it for very little money and spend time on it any hour of the day, even at 2 AM. The Internet never sleeps and if you are willing to give up a little sleep of your own, which you probably already have, up all night worrying about bills, then you can start making money on the internet.

Another selling point of affiliate marketing is that you don’t have to worry about developing your own product, keeping inventory or filling orders. Someone else takes care of all of those details. You are selling other peoples products.

A good example is selling digital products. The customer can download them immediately so there’s no actual physical product to handle. And the best part is that you can earn up to 75% commission. What could be better?

There’s more than one way to do this type of selling. Some methods are free. Some are paid. It’s usually best to start off with some of the free methods to reduce your initial risk. The free methods work just as good as the paid methods. They just take longer to product results.

How much more time? That depends on how much effort you want to put in your new online business. It is possible to start seeing sales in less than 7 days from when you get started. Not too shabby, is it?

Starting an online business without spending a lot of money is definitely possible. You can earn while you learn this wonderful thing called internet marketing without risking what is left of your savings.

How to choose between affiliate programs

by Theo McLanahan

People that are new to affiliate marketing have to face hard decisions. There are thousands of programs available, and choosing which ones to promote can be difficult. There are thousands of affiliate programs out there. However, it is better to be selective upfront; promoting the wrong type of affiliate programs can cause you to waste a lot of time and miss out on commissions. Here are some tips to help you choose which affiliate programs are right for you:

Keep Your Target Market in Mind

Keeping in mind who your consumer is and what type of products there interested in will help you to focus on an affiliate program that will promote these products that of are interest to your customers and will in turn be of the greatest benefit to you.

You Must Believe in the Product

It doesn’t matter the fame or fortune of a product, if it is something you would not use or would not recommend to your friends or to your family you should not promote it. If you are unsure about the product don’t go forward with it. You want to always promote products that you believe in.

Be Knowledgeable about What your Pay is Based On

Most affiliate programs will pay you a commission on the sale of an item; however, some will pay per lead or per click. This information can help you choose between programs. You may think you will earn more with a pay per lead plan, as it may be easier to get someone to click on ad versus buy a product. However, you could earn more by promoting a product that pays per sale. For instance, if you get paid $1 per lead, you will need 100 people to take action to earn $100. If you get paid 10% commission on a 100 product, you only need 10 people to take action in order to earn the same $100.

Commission Rates

When you are trying to choose an affiliate program don’t focus to much on the big numbers. Sometimes 50% commission sounds great. But if the product you are promoting is only $20 you’ve only made ten bucks. It would be much better to get a 20% commission on a $100 product. So it is important to crunch the numbers before deciding.

Use Free Classified Ads Instead Of Paying For Costly Site Usage

by Alex Wu

These days, everyone is scrapping every penny, it seems. People are unemployed or underpaid and inflation keeps skyrocketing. The things you need to buy are hard enough to get and the things you want to buy are impossible to gain. One way that people are finding supplemental income is by selling their belongings. Selling things you no longer use or want that could be treasure to someone else is a great way to make a few bucks. The biggest problem is that it usually costs money to make money. When you use free classified ads to post your items for sale, you come out on top.

There aren’t many times in life that you find a true win-win situation. When you’re trying to make some money by selling your goods, you hope for the best. You hope to get as much money as possible for what you’re trying to unload. When you have to pay for classified advertising or auction style ads, you can end up making only a few pennies for your efforts.

Don’t fall victim to these money making schemes. These companies couldn’t care less about the fact that you’re an honest, average Joe trying to get by. When you are having problems making ends meet, start looking through your garage, storage building and closets. You may hold the key to creating some serious wealth for yourself.

How do you know what is worth something or what you should sell? Maybe you’ve got some items in mind but you have no idea what you should ask for them. One great way to start researching before you even post your items for sale is by browsing the free classified ads.

Many people use these free boards to post items they want to purchase. It couldn’t be easier to figure out what people want to buy than being able to scan actual requests for items. Free classifieds also help you figure out what the going rate is for certain products. Search for similar items to what you’re going to post for sale and find out what the going rates are.

You can get a good idea of a fair market value by seeing what ads seem to be generating interest and which ones have been posted for a long period of time without selling. This will help you gauge the temperature of the buying pool. Once you’ve figured out a reasonable sale price, you’re ready to post your own ads.

Make sure that you are clear in the ads that you post. You don’t want anyone to misunderstand your items or the price. Use simple descriptions and be honest about the condition of whatever you’re trying to sell. Don’t hype your item too much or appear to be spamming. People will simply disregard your ad and look elsewhere.

Free classified ads are a great place to market the things you want to sell. You don’t have to worry about paying a commission to someone else for your belongings. State things clearly, give all of the facts and be fair in your sale price. Follow these simple steps and you’ll be making money in no time.

Lifestyle Business Opportunities, As Successful As You Want Them

by Damian Papworth

In times of economic instability, many people are driven to the attractive concept of starting a business of their very own. Paying attention to the news, it’s obvious that jobs are becoming scarce — not more plentiful — and many people are being left without any sort of protection. If you are running your own business, you’ll be the one to decide whether or not it continues, and not some invisible corporate hand. Your business will become what you make of it.

There are millions of options available to any individual thinking of starting a business. How can you set up a company that will reflect your ideals, your goals? Perhaps the greatest solution is to start a lifestyle business. A lifestyle business focuses on what you love to do in your free time and making that a key source of your income. Can you imagine loving what you do and getting paid for it? That beautiful scenario can be achieved with a lifestyle business.

A perfect example of a lifestyle business is in outdoor sports. There is a feeling of individuality that naturally comes with outdoor sports.

Do you love skiing and have some ideas on how to make the whole process even more enjoyable? It could be anything, from a new design for skis to more durable goggles. If you cannot handle the design end, maybe you know someone who can.

Do your summer days lead you to the beach in search of the perfect wave? Every surfer can think of hundreds of ways their surfing experience could improve. Maybe it’s the flexibility of a wetsuit. Maybe it’s the stickiness of wax for a surfboard. Whatever it is, your idea can lead you into a brilliant business move.

Sports are not the only side of lifestyle businesses. Abstract concepts, different ways of thinking and being, are just as viable.

Have you been able to use meditation to make your life a success? Starting a website devoted to meditation can be your angle. Yoga is another open field. By bringing the most enthusiastic yogis to your site, advertisers will want to get involved.

In many ways, a lifestyle can be recession-proof. For example, maybe you love staying in shape and leading an active life. Fitness is both therapeutic and a way to extend your life. No matter how the economy is performing, people want to stay fit and feeling good. Why not capitalize on the moment?

Lifestyle businesses are also a way to make money in conventional ways, while supporting your ideal way of life. If you are a smart investor, you can find ways to do it from home, to be a success and stay close to your family in the process.

Maybe you have the idea already in your head. Why not try and flesh out the concept? Maybe you need some ideas to get you going. If so, the internet is the way to research what’s going on with small businesses. You can even find some shining examples of businesses waiting for a partner with ideas like yours.

Increase Conversions With Classified Ads

by Joan Hartl

Are you concerned about how to attract more visitors to your site and convert them into your clients? There are hundreds of options out there, but not all of them are effective enough. How to find the most effective one and bring your online business to a different level? You are about to discover how can classified ads help you to achieve it.

To begin with, a great classified ad must be relevant to the product or service which you are offering. As obvious as this sounds, many online marketers miss it because they are not specific enough with the information in their ads. For instance, if your offer is on how to train Cocker Spaniels you may not be doing so well to have your classified ad speak to just ‘dog owners’. It is better to have your ad as specific as possible when it comes to attracting people who will actually buy.

The second thing which your classified ad must do is speak to a person as if they were person. If you look on the Google content network where most classified ads are you will see a ton of ads which read like simple signs in a grocery store. They say things like: “Train your dog to be obedient.” Now sure that may be what the person is after but you are not speaking to them as if they were a person.

Try this: pretend that your ad is something which you are saying to someone you met on the street. If it sounds like you are being odd or mechanical, go back to the drawing board.

The third and the most important thing which your ad must do is sell the dream. This means that you are telling someone what kind of an emotional benefit they are going to get from clicking on your ad, don’t worry about the offer just yet. You want the person to click the ad first and then have the sales page or report do its work. You might say something like: “Tired of your dog destroying your belongings? Find out how you can relax when you left him alone.” Something like this communicates the emotional benefit while arousing curiosity about what they will find out if they click your ad.

Once you have these together it is time to post your ad and let it work its magic. One final tip is to rotate out a few ads and find out what is working and what it not. When it comes to that, you can have all of the great ideas which you want but the customer is going to decide whether or not it is really worth their time to pay attention. Testing is the only way to find this out for sure. So run your ad and test until you find out what it effective.
