What Are Proper Clothes To Wear At A Family Service And A Funeral?
My cousin just recently passed away and I’m going to a family service on Saturday with the funeral being on Monday. The last time I’ve been to a family service or funeral was when I was a little kid. I only have street clothes and don’t got money since it went to bills and the funeral. I really don’t know what to wear and I’ll appreciate any help.
Thanks.

Totsy Offers Deep Discounts For Moms, Partners With Genealogy App FamilyBuilder
While consumers around the U.S. are sniffing out Black Friday deals today, sample sale sites have emerged to provide members with serious discounts year round. Online sample sales sites such as Gilt Groupe, HauteLook, Ideeli, RueLaLa and others, have been picking up serious traction in the past year.
We’ve seen a plethora of sites pop up for women’s and men’s clothing and accessories, travel deals and even children’s clothes. Totsy, an invitation only sales site that features children’s brands, baby gear and products, recently launched to appeal to parents looking for a bargain.
Totsy, which marks down products by 40 to 70 percent, features a variety of toys, baby products (strollers, educational toys, cribs and more), children’s clothing and bedding. Similar to other sample sale sites, shopping events are designer-specific and held over a 72 hour period. The site is also partnering with Facebook app and genealogy site FamilyBuilder to build more buzz for the sale site. FamilyBuilder’s popular Facebook app, Family Tree, has 6.3 monthly active users. The site, which has over 17 million users, also runs applications on Bebo, MySpace, Hi5 and Orkut. The partnership will allow Totsy to send invitations via Facebook and email to Familybuilder’s database of users.
Even during a recession, sample sales are managing to draw in revenue. With the tremendous opportunity in the children’s and baby good market, Totsy could take off. Gilt also offers deals on children’s goods, but Totsy is primarily focused in this sector of the market.

Zivity Adds Dudes. Let Me Know How It Goes (#zivitydude)
Zivity Adds Dudes. Let Me Know How It Goes (#zivitydude)
Venture backed adult site Zivity finally figured out that there’s a whole other market out there beyond guys (and a few women) who want to look at naked women. Lots of women (and a few men) apparently want to look at naked guys, too. So in a lightning bolt of marketing genius, they doubled their potential market size in a single blog post: Zividudes.
They’re taking nominations for who users want to see without their clothes on (topless for now). Once the list is set they’ll start going down the list to see who’s brave enough to say yes: “We’ll start with the top choice and work our way down until someone is brave enough to say yes! We’ll pay for the photo shoot by one of our top photographers, so the Zivity Dude will look *fantastic*.”
Who do you want to see shirtless? Twitter the name out with the hashtag #zivitydude and your vote will be counted. Early favorites include Kevin Rose, Chris Saad, Loren Feldman (although his wife is making the push), Jim Fishef and Sean Percival.
Let me know how it all turns out. And be on the lookout for Ashton Kutcher to try to steal the show. That guy will do anything for a little press. In fact, maybe Kutcher and Kevin Rose can do a dual bromance photoshoot?

There is certainly no shortage of humanoid robots conspiring to attack your savings, but few look to offer the combination of tiny size and amazing dexterity of the Robovie-nano, the little guy from Vstone who is now shipping to would-be Dr. Frankensteins. He’s just 230mm tall (about nine inches) and weighs 575g (about a pound and a quarter), but looks to be at least as nimble as larger forebearers and is far cheaper than most, costing just ¥49,350 ($540) to start — less than a set of those sweet robot hands we spotted last week. For that you won’t get the optional “gripper shaft” mitts shown above, or the paintable Lexan bodywork he sports in the video after the break, but nobody ever said a robot needs clothes, right?

Cartoon: Dressed for Success
Think of this post as a mashup of two of my favorite social media books: Naked Conversations meets Tactical Transparency.
And in the interest of transparency, I should disclose that I thought about slipping my Amazon affiliate code into those links, but decided not to.
As well, I should disclose that I’m surprised to discover I can become a tad embarrassed about drawing someone clad only in the clothes they were born in. And that I cartoon partly because of a neurotic need for attention. And that I dismissed two other ideas before drawing this one because they weren’t quite social media-y enough, and a third because I suspect Gahan Wilson drew it a few decades ago.
I submit all of this in support of a theory of mine: that the future of corporate communications lies in boring audiences into submission through sheer information overload. Radical transparency and tactical transparency, you’ve met your match: tedious transparency.
Feel free to try it out in the comments below.
