Motorola Devour in the wild once again
Motorola Devour in the wild once again
We’ve already seen the Motorola Devour in the wild once, but with the official Verizon launch right around the corner and pre-sales underway, it looks like at least one more unit has made it out into the world. Great — but we’d like a video of this thing and its mid-range processor running Flash, please.
[Thanks, Zach]

ASUS Eee PC 1201HA now on sale in the US
ASUS Eee PC 1201HA now on sale in the US
A little later than mid-November, sure, but ASUS has finally unleashed to the US masses its 12.1-inch Eee PC 1201HA. Available at Best Buy for a penny under $330, it’s got all the standard affairs: 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520, 1GB RAM upgradeable to 2GB, 160GB HDD, WiFi, and a touted 6 hour, 38 minute battery life. The catch here is Windows XP — sorry 7 lovers, but if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, there’s always Chrome OS.

BlackBerry Onyx poses for the camera
BlackBerry Onyx poses for the camera
We’re not expecting the BlackBerry Onyx to hit before November, but at least a few units have hit the wild, and these are the first in-depth photos we’ve seen. These shots don’t reveal much about the new-look Bold with the optical trackball, but it sure is pretty, ain’t it? Now if it only had a useful browser and IMAP support, we’d actually care.
[Thanks, Zero]

DRM for news? Inside the AP’s plan to "wrap" its content
DRM for news? Inside the AP’s plan to "wrap" its content
![]()
The Associated Press last week rolled out its brave new plan to “apply protective format to news.” The AP’s news registry will “tag and track all AP content online to assure compliance with terms of use,” and it will provide a “platform for protect, point, and pay.” That’s a lot of “p”-prefaced jargon, but it boils down to a sort of DRM for news—”enforcement,” in AP-speak.
But how could that possibly work?
